The women’s group (Mujeres amigables con la Naturaleza y el medio por el bienestar integral de sus familiars) is a recently founded group in the small community of La Luchita near the border of the Pacific side of La Amistad National Park.
The women have a small piece of land they want to cultivate to grow vegetables for their families and sell. They also hope to build a lodge in order to host guests and community meetings. The main aim is to allow the women to earn their own income to support themselves and their families. As the group is only in their initial stages there is a huge amount teams can do and the women would be extremely grateful for any help teams can offer.
